A long time ago in a gender far, far away...
Our Sapphire Star finds herself looking back 11 years to the day she found out she was transgender. It has been a rough journey, and one that carries on to this day. As I struggle with the seemingly endless hoops to jump through to change my name, it can be hard to take a step back and be satisfied with the work I have done for myself to date. It has been arduous, and the goalpost continues to move with each goal I reach. I am proud of myself and of my friends who are in similar situations.
